Dreams & Symbols - Symbols & Signs

To basically understand the significance of symbols and signs in our lives, we need first to understand that we are magnets. Our deep inner being is a magnet that attracts onto itself those people, events and things which resonate deep within us. When we meet with people and experience anger, sadness, happiness or any other emotion, it is a mirror reflecting that which is within us. Our soul brings these people, events or things into our lives to allow us to see and understand what is deep within. It is presented as an opportunity to learn and grow. When we disregard these images, they will keep on reflecting back upon us until we understand and accept their purpose in our lives.

There are no such things in our lives as coincidences or accidents. We create our individual experiences in every moment. We create through the thoughts that we focus upon. If we focus our thoughts on fear, then we manifest these thoughts over and over until we learn to place our focus or thoughts on a more positive and nurturing experience. At times we choose to view the events that occur to us as beyond our control. In reality, we have created them to assist us in learning and evolving. I am not saying that we have consciously created an illness or an accident, but unconsciously we have created these situations to learn. This is one of the spiritual laws, the Law of Creation. The fact that we do not fully understand the law does not save us from creating these events. The act of understanding the law does allow for us to change our thoughts and create that which we consciously choose and desire.

The easiest way that I have learned to change my life is to step back and view that which is occurring around me. If the people around me are tense and uptight, then I have obviously placed myself in this situation to mirror this aspect of myself. By realizing and understanding this area of my inner self, I allow myself the opportunity of making the necessary changes in my thoughts, fears, habits, beliefs and feelings. Once I have made the necessary thought modifications, I can walk in joy knowing that I have created my new thought and it is only a matter of watching for my creation to appear in my life.

Below I have listed a few of the signs or symbols that may help you along the way. Signs and symbols show up in all areas of your life. I find that my dreams are usually my best source of symbols and signs. By learning to remember your dreams and write your dreams down, you offer yourself an invaluable healing tool. When you are asleep your conscious mind allows your symbols through with little resistance. Learn to expand your awareness in all areas of your life, you might be surprised at what you uncover.

Your life path is a personal journey and your signs and symbols reflect your needs and wants at the present time. Pay attention to all that is around you. Start writing down your own signs and symbols. Add the details of how you are feeling at the time or what was happening around you. Write down what you think your symbols mean, it doesn't matter if they fit with the definitions of others. You are creating your personal tool of healing and transformation for your use only. This time spent exploring your inner self will help you to become or have that which you desire.
